- CNFN is primarily guided in its efforts by the Convention on the Rights of the Child(UNCRC),adopted by the UN General Assembly in 1989.Nepal has also signed the UNCRC in 1990 and more than 191 countries has already rectified it by now.In rectifying the Convention, Nepal is legally bound to uphold its provisions, which range from insuring children access to health care and free and compulsory primary education alongwith protecting them from abuse and neglect.
- Bringing all NGOs working for children under one umbrella.
- Establishing conditions for coordination among the member NGOs/INGOs and other development agencies and HMG/Nepal.
- Evaluation of child welfare activities on a regular basis and contributing for other National/International organizations including ILO/IPEC and members of Save The Children Alliance-Nepal to co-ordinate and co-operate with each other.
- To promote the aims, values and principles of UN Convention on Rights of the Child(CRC), and to coordinate,activate and foster inter-NGO relationship by providing opportunities of linkages for development of children within the country.
- To play the role of advocacy in formulation of appropriate policy and law to ensure a just meaningful society so that today’s children can become better, useful and productive citizens of tomorrow who then can create a brighter and meaningful future for next generation.
- To coordinate and cooperate with local,national and international agencies and help them to implement various child rights and child development programs.

Children of the Universe orphanage, we shared moments with the children and majority of them, what we found were participative in every activities.
Visit to OCCED orphanage for psychological trauma counselling. Some children here were participative while some were shy. We tried to make them extrovert and we will pay a visit shortly again in this orphanage.
